1. GUIDO COAL MINE (ZABRZE)

This is one of the key attractions on the Industrial Heritage Trail.

What to do: Descend 320 meters underground in an authentic coal mine lift. Explore the labyrinth of mine corridors and visit the deepest underground pub in Europe.
Getting there: Approximately 20-30 minutes by Taxi/Uber or take a train from Śląskie Railways to Zabrze station, followed by a short tram ride.

2. NIKISZOWIEC – Historic District

What to do: Stroll through the red-brick workers’ settlement, which enchants with its symmetry and early 20th-century atmosphere. Don’t miss the local bakeries and cafes.
Getting there: Approximately 10-15 minutes by Taxi/Bus.

3. SILESIAN PARK AND THE “ELKA” CABLE CAR (CHORZÓW) – Green Oasis

What to do: Take a ride on the “Elka” cable car, offering an aerial view over one of the largest city parks in Europe. Enjoy the excellent view of the Silesian Planetarium, the Legendia amusement park, and the Silesian Stadium. 
Both the Planetarium and Legendia are must-visit attractions, offering engaging experiences for all ages.
Getting there: Tram from the center of Katowice (approx. 20 minutes).
English: A ride on the “Elka” cable car over one of Europe’s largest city parks. Don’t miss the Silesian Planetarium and Legendia amusement park, perfect for family visits and entertainment.

4. MODERNISM PATH

What to do: Take a self-guided walk through downtown Katowice to discover “Polish Chicago” – functionalist skyscrapers from the 1930s, including the Silesian Parliament building and the Drapacz Chmur skyscraper.
Getting there: City center.

1. Kraków Old Town and Wieliczka Salt Mine

What to do: Visit Poland’s former royal capital, rich in history, and UNESCO-listed underground marvel with chapels carved in salt.
Getting there: Approximately 1.5 hours by Train or Bus for Kraków Old Town and Wieliczka is a short train or taxi ride from Kraków city centre. 

2. Beskidy Mountains:

What to do: Scenic hiking trails and many accessible cable cars.
Getting there: Approximately 2 hours by train, depending on the destination. Popular hiking areas are accessible by public transport, with cable cars available in selected locations.
